At a birthday today, he was totally enamored with his second cousin. Awww…

It looked so very nice out today, so we thought we’d walk to the store, and let Tijn walk a bit, to get some wiggles out.

But we were in for an unpleasant surprise; as nice as it might be looking, the wind was nasty and bitter cold. We didn’t last long. So instead, I swung him on my back, and we got the trip over and done with as fast as we could.

Brrrr!

Can you believe it? He’s interested in books!
Until now, with a lot of persuasion, we could get him to look at a book for 30 seconds or so. Today all of a sudden he sat for a good 20 minutes reading with me, and later in the afternoon he grabbed this one on his own.
I keep on being amazed at how some things just need time, and then all of a sudden they “click”!

When we let him watch tv, he’ll go sit in his chair with his ball. No idea why, he even goes to find it first.

Budgie had a blast landing in his hair, and he thought it hilarious

He really likes that Budgie (kee-kaa, as he calls him. Don’t ask, it doesn’t resemble anything, not his name, not the Dutch for Budgie, nothing). He’ll go say good morning, if the cage is closed he’ll come and get us to open it. He wants to help feed him.

And grab him.

Thankfully, Budgie likes him back. And Budgie is quick

In case you ever wonder why he is so often barefoot… we DO put socks on him, we really, really do!

Just a few weeks ago, he barely lasted a minute when drawing. Today he grabbed my pen when I was making a grocery list, and started scribbling on it. I gave in, handed him a suitable piece of paper (yay for IKEA rolls of drawing paper!) and he sat there for a good 10 minutes scratching away. He stayed away from the table and his clothes. His brow got a little blob when he rubbed in his face though
